- Popular Ballard family practice physician.
- Volunteered as the team doctor to various sport
teams.
- Provided leadership for a number of Ballard Community
projects including the building of Ballard Hospital in 1955.
- Appeared as a soloist with the major symphonies
and opera companies in the Pacific Northwest, including the Seattle
Symphony and Seattle Opera.
- Served on the Seattle School Board, 1956-1971 and,
as president in the late sixties, provided leadership to establish
a comprehensive plan to integrate the schools.
