EDWARD PALMASON M.D., 1924

  • Served as a Naval Medical Officer during WWII.  
  • Popular Ballard family practice physician.
  • Volunteered as the team doctor to various sport teams.
  • Provided leadership for a number of Ballard Community projects including the building of Ballard Hospital in 1955.
  • Appeared as a soloist with the major symphonies and opera companies in the Pacific Northwest, including the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera.
  • Served on the Seattle School Board, 1956-1971 and, as president in the late sixties, provided leadership to establish a comprehensive plan to integrate the schools.
