Tiles For Books

SPECIAL GIFT OPPORTUNITY

Wondering what to get that special someone for a birthday or the
holidays? How about something different this year? How about a tile permanently set in the pavement outside Ballard High School to commemorate that individual? A special name in a special place - on the north side of the school. This unusual opportunity to have a long-time remembrance is coupled withour fundraising goal for the school library. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for the John Stanford Library, to update its collection and to help this resource stay current. Financial support over the years has not been available to keep the collection current. The average copyright date of
books presently in the library is 1976. They were printed before students in this years senior class were born!

The engraved tiles will be installed on the Beaver Trail pathway - just outside the library - leading to the school's north entrance.
You can recognize a classmate, teacher, family member, occasion,
graduating senior, or yourself. At the same time, you can contribute to the John Stanford Library Fund at BHS and further support the excellence in education for which we all strive.
